Your prospecting attitude is one of the key factors that will keep you in momentum despite any obstacles in your prospecting endeavor.

    Lack of positive attitude will affect your willingness to take risks, willingness to try something new and your ability to achieve in spite of difficult circumstances.

    Not seeing past the hype – thinking that your company, compensation plan or product will drive prospects to your business is a wrong approach.

    Thinking you going to make it to the top without having to invest time, money and effort is failing to accept reality in the business world. Have a right approach from the start.

    Relying too much on your company/upline’s advice – Some people are born sales people, they are extroverts, selling just comes natural to them. They survive by cold calling because that is what they are best in. But you may be a born introvert, shy and reserved, so should you follow this advice and enforce this character? Off course not, if you build your business with systems that suits
    you and work for you, you will never have to pretend you are someone you’re not.

    Prospecting wrong people – If you were in a network marketing business that sells nutrition products and were looking to recruit distributors into your organization. First you come across Tim who is enthusiastic about healthy lifestyle, goes to gym daily, takes vitamins and supplements and always keen on buying new health products on the market.

    Then you meet Frank who is not at all health conscious, doesn’t like gym and not into health diets but he’s into part time businesses. In-fact he’s been in 3 different network marketing businesses but didn’t do well but he’s still pressing on.

    Both Tom and Frank seem right for this business but who would you rather have as your main target prospect? Well I’ll put it simple, you want to increase your sales in numbers right? So who best understands what you are doing and will do a good job at it, it’s Frank off course. He understands the business, he’s into part time businesses (mlm) and he’s eager to learn.

    People try to promote their business to wrong people which often leads to failure. Most people want to promote their company’s products as a result they join wrong people into their business and ultimately slow down the process of earning income or just fail all together and that should never be the case. The only product network marketers should be marketing is their system of earning money from home. The product that should be promoted is the “solution to people’s problems” not the actual company’s product.
